Target tracking algorithm is the key work of space-based radar,the precision and stability of the algorithm directly affects the performance of tracking. The traditional tracking algorithm is usually not satisfied because of the mobility of space target motion and the complexity of space environment. Study a new algorithm with smaller calculation, higher tracking precision and stability has been a hotspot. This paper combine with the actual requirements, the major works are summarized as follows:Firstly, this paper expounds the basic knowledge of the target tracking.The observability of space target, selection of tracking coordinate system and the target of several basic mechanical model are discussed. In this paper several kinds of classic tracking filtering algorithms are analysised and contrasted. The different nonlinear filter algorithm is simulation tested by Matlab. Respectively, performance of the different algorithms, including position root mean square error, velocity root mean square error and computing time are also tested and analysised.Secondly, In view of large amount of calculation and complexity of the traditional filter algorithm. Study Debiased Converted Measurements Kalman Filter algorithm and proposes Debiased Converted Measurements a -b filter algorithm.This algorithm by using a -b filtering instead of kalman filtering, and sacrifice a little greatly tracking accuracy for improving computing performance. Finally, through the computer simulation to proves the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.Finally, for transformation measurement error of traditional filtering algorithm increases with the increase of the observation distance, this paper proposes Improve Debiased Converted Measurements Kalman Filter algorithm.This algorithm uses the unbiased conversion method to convert measurements firstly, and then through the kalman filter to predict estimate the transformation measure mean square error. Compared with traditional filter algorithm, the algorithm has more advantages in the long-range target tracking. Finally, computer simulation proves the advantages of the algorithm.
