Balance is an important physiological function of human body. It is an important factor which influence the quality of live. Due to the bodily systems function decline and the organ injured, the stability of the elderly and the stroke patients who achieved recovery dropped even caused inadvertently fall. So for the purpose of improving balance ability, the effective rehabilitation training is very important to the patients with balance disorders. For the problem that balance disorders involved in rehabilitation training mainly rely on the subjective experience of physical therapists thus lack of the initiative in participating in the conventional balance rehabilitation training. In this paper, we introduced the main work as follow:Firstly, a game is designed by combining the use of C# language with SQL Server 2008. We design a COP(center of pressure) controlled video games for standing balance exercise which contains a set of rehabilitation training, evaluation, data storage and analysis by using the force platform.Secondly, in order to overcome the psychological tired caused during the process of balance rehabilitation due to the repeated training, this research gave a further design on the three-dimensional software game system for balance rehabilitation training. In this study, a 3D game was developed by using the Unity 3D with simulation of the visual and auditory allows the patients immerse in a more realistic and richer training environment. Aiming to increase the interesting in participating in balance training and motivate the initiative and energetic to achieve a better therapeutic result.Thirdly, in this study we select the 2D COP visual tracking game for experimental research. Twenty healthy college students were involved in this experimental research as the object of experiment. To minimize the chance errors and increase the accuracy of measurement, we took many experiments for each participant. The cured standard of healthy adult was deduced. This initial pilot study indicates that the video game based on force platform has the potential to be used in clinical settings in order to improve balance.
