In recent years, with the smartphone continuous improvement of performance andthe rapidly growing popularity, as well as mobile phone on the game control andexpressiveness optimized for playing games has become an integral part of the smartphone users daily recreational activities. At the same time, in web games increasedcompetition, the Web3D games and the rapid rise of mobile devices games, becomean alternative of the entrepreneurial team. Unity3D game engine, provides a goodsolution for both game types began to concern the development team.Guangzhou Love Tour Information Technology Co., is a set of games researchand development, gaming platform operators and software research and developmentcompany in one of the companies leading the game industry. My internship studio isunder the Guangzhou Love Tour Information Technology Co., will release two webgames this year and positive transit to mobile game development. For the smoothtransition of the studio, it is urgent to analyze the mobile gaming industry quo andaccumulate the experience of game engine development, to assess project risks anddevelop relevant technical staff. Finally with the help of an excellent game planningcase, to identify a lightweight mobile phone network game development solution.This paper analyze the status quo of the mobile gaming industry, attention toother studios’ experience, summed up some of the common problems in the course ofthe project, and contrast different game engines. Analysis of the key play of the gameand game features, combined with the actual needs of the game planning case, to select the Unity3D game engine as a development engine for this project. Then, tocomplete the design of the game client and service side of the main frame andfunction modules, complete the custom game communication protocol through theGoogle Protocol Buffers open-source framework, and finally using Unity3D rapiddevelopment features, complete the development of a lightweight mobile phonenetwork game. At the same time, focus on solving some of the key technical issues inthe game development process, reached a stage objectives of the project team andreceived the acceptance of the studio.
