With the rise of China’s per capital income growth, income groups, as well as the state of promoting consumption, consumer demand for cultural entertainment will be explosive growth. Therefore, cultural media industry due to huge development space and creative content has become a hot chase capital, which led to the cultural media industry mergers and acquisitions boom.This paper choose the cultural media industry mergers and acquisitions events listed companies as the research object, from the main M&A perspective for the analysis of merger and acquisition of culture media listed companies and behavior characteristic, and the qualitative analysis of the influence of these factors on the performance of M&A. Then, this paper mainly selected the performance evaluation of enterprise culture media mergers and acquisition performance model, using the factor analysis method to culture media mergers and acquisitions of listed corporate performance empirical analysis. In this paper, the performance evaluation of listed companies merger and acquisition of cultural media for years before the merger, M&A year a year after and after the merger, the three year performance composite scores obtained by factors analysis, and then compare the score, to observe the culture media listed companies in mergers and acquisitions performance changes before and after. The empirical result shows that the majority of mergers and acquisitions of listed companies declined in culture media business performance after M&A, there are a small number of M&A performance improvements, but the promotion effect is not very obvious. This shows that the cultural media listed companies merger did not bring the expected effect.Through this research, we hope to provide a reference for culture media listed companies M&A performance evaluation, as the cultural media companies’ managers’ future mergers and acquisitions activities to provide advice, to provide help for the investors in the stock market.
