With the rapid development of Studio Entertainment, animation and industrial design, there are higher requirements for digital models on the quality and efficiency. It is imminent to develop a three-dimensional modeling software with independent intellectual property rights in order to improve the competitiveness of domestic digital products. In this paper, a novel fusion method of meshes based on components is put forward after analyzing the field of digital geometry processing in depth.The main tasks are as follows:(1)In this paper we design and construct the library of model databases. First, design tree structure in XML for managing the component units conveniently. Then, focus attention on designing component unit which has information of models in storage and can be divided into four parts like geometry, orientation, characteristic and node. At last, we design XML Model parser to achieve these functions. There are experiments to prove the effectiveness and practicability of the method.(2)An optimization algorithm for Discrete Exponential Map(DEM) parameterization of curvatures is put forward after studying some problems during the parameterization of models, and established the parametric model in the process of mesh fusion. First, calculate the average curvature of different points and divided into flat area and large curvature area. Second, execute interpolation expansion of the expanded points which is in the flat area by using the weighted path strategy;otherwise using a new kind of linear and barycenter interpolation strategy proposed by this paper;execute expansion of model with holes by using an optimization strategy of planar projection. Third,apply the parametric method in the field of texture mapping and which is proved by experiments.(3)A novel deformer method of multi-resolution meshes based on layers is proposed to solve the continuous and conformal problems. Firstly, simplify the mesh with low frequency. Secondly,execute conformal deformation for the simplified mesh, determine the control layer for each point by calculate the geodesic distance of different points and definite the weight values of distance and density to adjust the deformation effect of points in control layer, In order to maximum boundary conformal, establish the constraint relation between boundary points and their neighborhood triangles. Lastly, fulfill the whole deformation by passing the deformation done above to the source mesh. There are experiments to analyze the efficiency and precision of deformation. The algorithm is also proved to be robust.
