With the rapid development of the electronic information technology, embedded systems have been broadly applied in every field of our life with its excellent properties. Meanwhile, the combinative product of embedded system and image processing technology has penetrated into people’s life constantly, and become an important research direction presently.This paper accomplished the embedded image processing platform of the Linux system, which based on TI TMS320DM368 development board. Aiming at the embedded image processing platform, we proposed an image denoising algorithm and launched the research work in order to improve the clarity of the image collected through the embedded system.Firstly, an embedded image processing platform was built. The entire process of building embedded image processing platform was showed, including the structure of embedded cross-compile environment; the introduction and transplantation of Uboot. After the detailed analysis of the kernel structure and booting process of Linux system, according to the application requirements, the process of transplantation and cut of the Linux kernel was researched. The JFFS2 was selected as our root file system and the process of the implementation of the JFFS2 file system was introduced in detail. At last, the process of modify the environment variables was studied.Secondly, according to the features of the image, an image denoising algorithm was proposed. This paper presented the image denoising algorithm based on wavelet transform and Wiener filtering Context Model by analyzing the distribution of wavelet decomposition coefficients. The experiment results showed that the proposed method is more effective than other common methods both in enhancing image MSE and PSNR and in reserving the image details.Finally, the image processing algorithm was constructed on the embedded platform. According to the embedded image processing platform, the process of the transplanting of image processing algorithm was introduced in detail, and the algorithm was used to remove the noise of image collected by embedded system. The experiment results showed that the algorithm acquires better effect in reserving the image details.This paper accomplished the build of the embedded image processing platform. We laid a solid foundation for the research work of the embedded image processing system, and finished the development tasks.
