This century is considered to be the era of vigorous development of terahertz technology because terahertz has a very broad application prospects. Currently, many national and regional governments, businesses, research institutions and universities have invested in the development of THz frenzy. China also has THz technology development plan after the "Xiangshan Science and Technology Conference".In the field of terahertz,THz communication is an important application, especially terahertz wireless communication technology. Compared with microwave radio communications, the terahertz band has a larger bandwidth, so terahertz can provide up to 10 GB / s wireless transmission rate. The propagation of THZ wave is directional, and can be precisely positioned. Compared to optical wireless communication, THz photon energy is small, so it does not cause great harm to the human eye. Low-frequency terahertz band(<1THz) has a good ability to penetrate the smoke dust, so which can be used in bad weather. In recent years, learn from the wavelength division multiplex(WDM) technology of light band, the international community proposed a terahertz wavelength division multiplexing technology, which will greatly enhance the terahertz wireless communication capacity. The multi-channel WDM filter is the important device to achieve terahertz wireless communication technology.The main contents of this paper is to study the multi-channel WDM filter to achieve terahertz wireless communication technology. Previous multi-channel filter designs were based on high Q-factor cavities, such as photonic crystal, Bragg resonance structure and metal grating waveguide. However, these solutions are disadvantageous in cost and complexity of technology. To overcome these shortcomings, This article will design new and better filter based on the existing parallel plate waveguide cavity. Using a parallel plate waveguide and pattern matching theory, the paper finally put forward a series of new single, double, multichannel channel terahertz filter.We not only use the parallel plate waveguide and pattern matching theory to design and calculation the terahertz filters, but also do experiments using the time-domain terahertz spectroscopy system, the results show that the filter based on parallel-plate waveguide has some practical value.
