Now optical fiber sensing network and optical fiber communication network convergence has become inevitable trend, which can reduce manpower and material resources, also can increase network flexibility. The core of convergence is the sensor data accurately into the optical fiber communication system. In this paper, we designed a novel GPON oriented blazed grating digital optical fiber sensing system. In this system, we used GPON as optical access network, and we used angular dipersion with the blazed grating as wave-divisions component. After digital photoelectric conversion, the sensor data is encapsulated into a frame. Then the sensor frame transmission into GPON and sent to remote monitoring center.First of all, the operation principle of FBG sensors and the optical fiber sensor network and the main original are introduced. We mainly describe the wavelength division/time division technology(WDM/TDM), and discuss the property and the capacity of the WDM/TDM sensor network.Then, the angular dispersion of grating has been analyzed. We used the MEMS blazed grating as original wavelength division, and introduce the principle of wavelength division. In this paper, we proposed a new photodetector with In Ga As PIN, and proposed an idea of sensor data digitization, and designed the binary conversion sequence. We designed a distributed sensing system with MEMS blazed grating and In Ga As PIN photodetector.Finally, we discuss the convergence of the optical fiber communication system and the optical fiber sensor system. The GPON has been seem as optical access network used to implement two network convergence. We proposed a novel remoting lager capacity sensor system base in the distributed sensing system. The digital data has been processed into frame. Encapsulating a data frame into the GEM frame is introduced, the GEM frame which can correct transport in GPON. We use Opti System/Matlab collaborative simulation to prove the feasibility of the system.
