Rapid prototyping(RP) is an advanced manufacturing technology developed in the 90’s, the technology is based on component model data, using material stacking forming, due to its high product quality, shorter developed cycles and other forming technology, it has the characteristics of low cost, high efficiency, good toughness, high density, ETC, compared with the general metal manufacturing, and becomes an important metal manufacturing trends.With the development of science and technology, people on the metal part design complexity requirements increase, rapid prototyping machines for metal equipment development has gradually become a hotspot. In order to produce parts with circles, arcs and complex curved surfaces, this paper designs the metal welding rapid prototyping equipment based on polar coordinates.The movement control system, operation research, development and application of metal rapid prototyping and motion controlling system software is designed, this software integrates data processing, graphics processing and controlling functions, achieves the purpose of processing through debugging of hardware and software.First, this paper briefly introduces the processing method and technical processing in rapid prototyping technology, analyzing the current situation of the welding metal forming technology and introducing the topic.Second, the software developed by Delphi software designs structure from hardware and software aspects of the rapid prototyping systems, the paper is divided into three main modules such as data processing, processing control and monitoring displayed, subdividing each main module of function module and introducing important functional modules in detail, such as file reads, layered processing, track filling, graphics displayed, movement state monitoring and multi-thread processing.Finally, debugging and optimization software, the paper explores the best parameter combination to achieve optimal effects of welding quality through typical welding experiments, adjusting the welding current, voltage, wire size, speed and other related parameters.
