With the rapid development of Internet technology and the smart handheld devices, the appearing of the mobile collaborative work is the inevitable result of the development of traditional CSCW. However, the mobile terminal has its own shortcomings and deficiencies comparing with the PC equipment, such as: data processing capacity is limited, wireless network’ broadband is small, sometimes the network connection is unstable, and the screen size limitations. These shortcomings seriously hamper the smooth exchange of information between users, cause the big obstacle for the collaboration of a group, becoming the bottleneck of mobile CSCW going forward. With hot sales of Apple products all over the world, IOS mobile operating system becomes the main stream in the field of smart devices, and a number of Internet application software are developed based on this platform. Mobile CSCW popularization and application in the IOS platform has became the trend of future development. In this paper, we analyzed and summarized the theory of mobile CSCW development status and technical requirements to design the collaborative cartography system based on IOS platform.1. The system adopts the C/S mode, the mobile terminal and server transfer the data via HTTP protocol. Mobile terminal implements synergies graphics. The server is responsible for data transmission, processing, storage, forwarding.2. Coordinated control mechanisms designed to solve the problems that the new users dynamically joining and data synchronization. In the case of network instability, cooperative control provides a contingency plan to ensure the stable operation of the server and the mobile terminal.3. When multiple users operate the same primitive object at the same time, the system prone to appear the disorder phenomenon. The system design the technology of real-time collaboration consistency, adopt an improved d OPT algorithm based on primitive object to ensure consistent results and manipulation intention consistency.4. The system design the concurrency control technology to solve the problem that display inconsistency caused by continuous synchronous operation and the problem that conflict between user operation and simultaneous display.
