Today, with the development of network technology and information technology, indoor positioning technology has been rapid development. As we all know, GPS positioning not only has a unique advantage in outdoor location field, but also has good noise immunity and confidentiality, but it cannot meet the requirements of low cost and accuracy for indoor positioning, and radio frequency identification (RFID) technology can make up for the short board, the characteristics that low cost, non-line, non-contact and positioning performance make it has been used widely in indoor positioning field. Although indoor positioning system based on RFID has matured, as the complexity of the indoor environment and interference between the signals, how to improve the accuracy of localization algorithm is becoming increasingly difficult.This paper describes the background and significance of the study of RFID brief. Then indoor positioning technology and localization algorithm be shown, include introduction principle of the indoor positioning technology and common localization algorithm. Besides of, describes the advantages and disadvantages of LANDMARC algorithm and VIRE algorithm. Then describes the overall framework of RFID-based indoor positioning system, including overall system design, system components, features modular design and how to programing the database, the client and middleware.Also, it proposed a method to add a virtual beacon based on the weighted centroid algorithm, while it can improving positioning accuracy also reduce hardware costs. The simulation can be demonstrated that this positioning system capable of dynamic and real-time rendering the location information of the patient and real-time achieve voice alert function by deploying positioning system in an indoor environment. Testing results show that positioning accuracy has greatly improved.Using experimental data show that:not only in the positioning accuracy has been significantly improved weighted centroid algorithm based on virtual node, while reducing the cost of hardware implementation, the sampling time of the system can be controlled within Is, to achieve the desired effect.
