The high error-rate of satellite links has great influence on not only transmission reliability, but also transmission propriety. So, how to combat channel fading effect and reduce error-rate to improve transmission reliability and propriety are critical issues in the research of satellite communication. Taking the characteristics of satellite links into account, this essay comprehensively takes the advantage of redundant coding, multi-path transmission, and congestion notification to improve the transmission reliability.This essay firstly introduces characteristics of satellite links, the great influence of high error-rate on satellite telecommunication and the existed reliable transmission mechanisms(and protocols) detailedly. Then, we propose a multi-path transmission strategy based on redundant coding for satellite network to achieve a compromise between transmission reliability and efficient use of channel resources. Also, we propose relevant congestion notification strategy based on priority for multi-path transmission to notify the reason of dropping packets. And finally, we take related experiments on simulation platform to verify the function and performance of the proposed strategies.
