In the rapid development of communication technology, how to make full use of the limited spectrum resources is a problem which is needed to solve by people.Using Co-Channel Dual-Polarization transmission of the signal transmission can effectively improve the spectrum efficiency. However, because of various unfavorable factors in the process of signal transmission, cross-polarization interference will be produced in the cross-polarization direction.Cross Polarization Interference is closely associated with the channel characteristics. Cross-polarization interference canceller is adaptive generally, which be able to capture the characteristics of the channel and track the changes of information channel. Adaptive cross polarization interference cancellation technology is mainly done by the adaptive iterative algorithm.This dissertation design and achieve a XPIC by studing the cross-polarization interference. The work of this dissertation are:1. Analysis of the radio channel characteristics of the cross-polarization transfer and the generating process of cross-polarization interference, relating the principle of formation and cancel of cross-polarization interference cancellation, introducing the performance.2. Designed a cross-polarization interference canceller which is based on the CMA algorithm and the DDLMS algorithm, proposed an algorithm to solve the frequency offset between the main signal and the slave signal, proposed the structural design of a receiver containing XPIC.3. Carried out a detailed simulation and verification for XPIC algorithm and phase synchronization algorithm, proposed the XPD improvement of XPIC.4. Proposed the structure of RTL design, simulation results showed the effectiveness of the system, FPGA synthesize and resource expended.The design of XPIC in this dissertation can cancel the XPI of the dual-polarized QAM signal, which caused of the channel characteristics. Joined a phase synchronization into this XPIC in order to increace the performance of the canceller, thus effectively improved the anti-jamming capability of communications system.
