The transceiver plays a key role in the microwave and millimeter-wave system,and the performance of the microwave and millimeter-wave systems is directly affected by it.In addition, the research of the 3mm systems havs just begun to develop,and it will have a broad development prospect. Therefore, by combining the theory of millimeter wave and a variety of computer aided software, this thesis successfully developed a 3mm band up-conversion component based on the hybrid integrated technology.The main work of this thesis is to design a millimeter wave up-convert system. This up-convert system can convert the signal from the X-band to the W-band, and make it reach the required power to launch.The main content is as follows:At first, the theory of waveguide to microstrip transition is introduced. And we design two different structures of waveguide to microstrip transition: W-band waveguide-microstrip probe transition, waveguide-microstrip finline transition. Good measurement results are achieved. Finally comparing both performance,we choose the better waveguide to microstrip transition used in components.Then, the theory of substrate integrated waveguide(SIW) technology is introduced. And we design a millimeter wave band pass filter for component based on the technology.Good measurement results are achieved.Meanwhile, the basic principle of solid-state circuits(mixer, amplifier) which associated with this topic is introduced. According to the index of assigned to each unit circuit, choosing the appropriate MMIC chip, and the specific information for the selected chips are introduced. The 3mm band mixer domestic chip was tested to understand its performance.Finally, the the 3mm up-convert component is designed; this system is fabricated, assembled, debugged, and tested. The test results have been analyzed.
