With the development of wireless communication technology used in the home automation, more and more indoor wireless communication systems are being used in our daily life, such as home automation, security etc. Though it is convenient to use these wireless-transceivers, there remains a problem. During the use of indoor wireless-transceivers, a battery was used as power supply, and it is inconvenient to replace it. In order to reduce the impact of circumstance to communication, a higher TX-power would be settled. This may cause a waste of energy. So the researches of power management of the wireless-transceivers become important. This thesis was proposed for research on key techniques of power management based on radio wave propagation.The research on key techniques of power management of radio link by radio wave propagation for short-range communication presents a study for indoor point-to-point wireless links based on Z-Stack on power management. It consists of four aspects.First, the path loss was tested in circumstance, and radio wave propagation model was built for indoor wireless communication. The parameters needed for algorithm were extracted after the analysis of characteristics of the model.Second, the functions of the algorithm were analyzed. The kits used to realize the algorithm were designed.Third, a power management algorithm based on the propagation model were designed and realized with the Z-stack.Forth, the energy consumption with and without the algorithm was compared. And the feasibility of power management algorithm was verified.
