Along with the development of science and technology, people exploration of the nature of the step by step from the land, the sea extended to the space. Similarly, the historical facts remind us, people warfare is to a wider space for development. The unique perspective of space top-down decided his incomparable military value. The military use of space includes two aspects: the first is the satellite military use, used to obtain information to improve the operational efficiency of the armed forces; second is the direct through space weapons found and destroyed the target ground or space to each other. In this paper, through the detection of typical satellite application demand, target recognition and tracking, the infrared radiation characteristic of satellite and deep space background characteristics and target detection and tracking technology research, research of space object classification, location, identification technology, provides an important technical means of space target orbit, morphology and radiation characteristics.In this paper, the space target as the main research object, on the basis of research on the infrared radiation characteristics, identification of space target tracking algorithms are studied. The main contents of this paper:1. Infrared characteristics of space target theory model research. Firstly, finite element method was used to analyze the thermal model of space target, calculate at multiple spatial environment of steady state and transient temperature distribution, based on the infrared characteristics of space target model, and the calculated results and the actual observation data were compared to verify.2. Tracking technology of space target infrared real-time detection. For space target detection application requirements, analysis the technical difficulties of infrared detection of space targets and real-time tracking, the complete target acquisition, tracking strategy, puts forward By matching filtering processing small target、automatic identification of point target and area target、matching surface target based on the geometric characteristics of template 、Particle filter for target state estimation,and the algorithm is emulated.3. The development of test platform. Given the overall design scheme of the experimental platform, including the detector electronics design and detector optical design, code design, and made a preliminary verification in the platform to test, and finally make the analysis results show that the work, has a strong reference value for engineering applications.
