Decoration design is an important link in the artificial environment design, and its purpose is to meet people’s material and spiritual needs of the decorative arts. However, the manual drawing has been difficult to meet the need of people. With the widely use of the information technology, making use of the computer tools to design the decoration system has a very wide application range.In view of the system in the technology of inheritance and innovation, to fully grasp the principles and concepts of decorative art, we carry out the demand investigation and analysis of system. Then, according to the demand analysis and feasibility study, we carry out the overall design of the system, including the function of the system partition and the module design based on the Mel script language. This topic comes from the actual demand, combined with the practical application requirements, this thesis mainly introduces the design and implementation of computer aided design system. The system is based on the knowledge of software engineering as a guiding principle. And the main system functions of the system include user management system, work modeling module, material setting module, lighting layout module. In addition, this thesis focuses on the analysis of system by using UML modeling technology. Computer aided design and decoration system designed in this thesis mainly have the following characteristics:(1) Based on the integrated system architecture design, module and system, basically follow the function of rationality, humanity principle, extension principle and modular principle, which guarantees the system’s maintainability and reliability;(2) The material, the decorative arts of the scale, form and environment characteristics and computer aided system are combined effectively, and it ensures the function of the availability of the system and the user a good experience;(3) The system uses powerful Mel scripting language for computer aided design and decoration system two development.
