With the rapid development of radio communication, cognitive radio has become one of the mostpopular fields. Among them, the blind identification of channel coding, especially identification of convolutional codeis technology is one of the popular research fields in the world. In the military field, this technology becomes more and more important, the blind identfication of channel coding plays a very important role in the search acquisition and reconnaissance on communication signals, but also in the field of different types, system communication radio system cooperative work, identication and also has universal significance, so the research of this technology is with the application of basic and practical significance.Blind recognition technology of channel coding is to perform rapid and proper analysis and calication on intercepted coded data to identify encoding method, parameters without encoding information, parameter and meothd, and then get the correct coding information. It is a core technology in non-cooperation or in unequal communication system. As the wireless transmission of information depends on the change of channel environment, transmission time and the environment, leading to channel is also constantly changing, in order to maximize the information transmission capability, we need to transform channel coding physique. In order to establish rapid communication connection duly at both sides of communication, it should make recipient identify encoding method and corresponding parameter quickly as per received unknown code, this is the significance of blind recognition of channel coding. In the foreseeable future, no matter in the military and civil field, intelligent mobile communication, multi point transmission broadcast communication, modulation and coding/ decoding technology will be applied widely.In this thesis, we firstly introduce the background information technology, historical significance and current development situation of the channel coding. Nowadays, channel coding is widely used in two kinds of ways: linear block codes and Convolutional code coding, which mode and principle was explained; Especially analysis the algorithms of blind recognition on linear block codes and Convolutional code in domestic and foreign applications, after theory analysis and MATLAB simulation, it is performed simulation in different code rate and environment and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages. And in the end of this paper, it summizes the blind identification of linear block codes and convolutional codes, and give the future research on the technology of channel coding recognition follow-up work direction.
