As one of the key technologies of the Long Term Evolution-Advanced(LTE-A), Multiple-Input Multiple-Output(MIMO) boosts the Transmission rate and the capacity of system considerably. In LTE-A, up-link can promote the antenna efficiency of the system by using Virtual-MIMO, and down-link adopts 9 kinds of different MIMO transmission mode which can suit different kinds of applications. Down-link Coordinated Multiple Points(CoMP) is the key technology of the multiple antennas technology to solve the problem of the bottleneck of the throughput of the edge cell.This paper focuses on the LTE-A system, and its multiple antennas technology and the LTE-A System transfer protocol in 3GPP R10 are studied. This paper also does lots of researches on the different down-link transmission mode 、 up-link Multi-user matching algorithm of V-MIMO and down-link CoMP.Chapter 1 firstly introduce the key technologies of LTE-A, and then illuminate the key transmission technology of up-link and down-link which is relative to the core multiple antennas technology, such as the up-link user pairing 、 down-link transmission mode、CoMP and Multiple antenna interference suppression.Chapter 2 recommends the Down-link transmission protocol and analyzes the modules of the transmitter and receiver and the structure of frame of 3GPP R10 in detail. The integrated process from the transmitter to the receiver is also analyzed and this is fundamental to the LTE-A and multiple antennas MIMO research.In chapter 3, the maximum capacity of different kinds of transmission mode of LTE-A is analyzed. According to the Shannon theory capacity limit and the real throughput, the throughput performance of MIMO of 9 kinds of transmission mode in down-link is analysed. On the basis of the analysis and the simulation, the open loop mode is better than the closed loop mode. However, the difference will be inconspicuous if the Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR) increase sufficiently. The capacity of the transmission mode 8 is nearly twice as that as transmission mode 7 because of its double deamforming. According to the result, the conclusion of Shannon theory is an ideal situation of every system, but only the real throughput limit can be the reference to the products and the subsequent researches.Chapter 4 first introduces the concept of the up-link multi-user matching scheme and the system mode and then analyzes the primary user scheduling criterion. Besides the accustomed Round-Robin and Proportional Fair algorithm, the Maximum Carrier-to-Interference Rate and SINR algorithm based on threshold are used in the user scheduling criterion. Secondly, the secondary user matching scheme is discussed. Just like Random Pairing Scheduling、Correlate Orthogonal Pairing Scheduling、Schmidt Orthogonal Pairing Scheduling、Determinant Pairing Scheduling and so on. Finally, according to the computer simulation and the analyses of different plans, using the SINR threshold to choose the primary user and using Determinant Pairing Scheduling can improve the user’s capacity remarkably.In chapter 5, the energy efficient CoMP interference suppression scheme is discussed. Firstly, the concept of the energy efficiency is analyzed. An evaluation scheme about the energy efficiency of the algorithms referred to in this paper is also shown. Secondly, a kind of transmission algorithms which is based on the Blind Interference Alignment Based CoMP Scheme is presented. This algorithm can help us to eliminate the interference without the Feedback link. On the basis of the enough system efficiency, this algorithm can reduce traditional CoMP feedback. By the way, the energy efficiency is also improved.Conclusions of the work in the thesis are given in Chapter 6, and the research direction about the development of multiple antennas technique in the future communication systems is discussed as well.
