Gyro-TWT is a kind of very important high power millimeter wave devices, has the advantages of wide band, high power and high gain, the millimeter wave radar, communication and electronic countermeasure, microwave weapons, and other ?elds has a broadapplication prospect, thus in the international and domestic much attention.With the continuous development of gyro-TWT developed technology, the output power higher and higher, operating bandwidth became wider and wider, frequency also begun to penetrate the terahertz direction, at the same time output window and power collection of gyro-TWT level design also needed higher demands, and output of the system and the collector thermal characteristic performance directly affects the ability of the output window of the power capacity and ability to collect the remaining electrons, so output window and collector thermal analysis techniques research has important signi?cance. The main contents include the following aspects:1. Introduced the thermal analysis status and development trend of output window and collector of gyro-TWT, describe the basic theory of heat transfer, ?nite element method theory, and so do the adiabatic compression theory, and so on, output window thermal analysis is on the basis of heat transfer theory, collector design research is on the basis of the adiabatic compression theory.2. Describes the basic application of two main types of software ANSYS Workbench and CST multi-physics simulation for thermal analysis; Compared to conventional thermal analysis methods domestic, introduce the advantages of associated ANSYS Workbench and HFSS multi-physics analysis, as well as its dif?cult.3. Write MATLAB program to verify the basic theory of thermal analysis, using HFSS electromagnetic simulation software to analyze the microwave transmission characteristics of output window. Then through the ANSYS Workbench software to analysis the thermal propertyies of output window for gyro-TWT, and further study the thermal distortion、power capacity、stress distribution of the output window. Basis on this method to optimize the Ka-band output window and improve the power capacity; Design the broad bandwidth and high average power output window for Q-band gyro-TWT and thermal analysis.4. Using CST Design Studio to microwave simulation of output window, analysis microwave transmission characteristics of window piece. Then use of CST software for thermal analysis and thermal stress analysis.5. Aiming at the local overheating problems of traditional high-power collector, use ANSYS Workbench to optimize its structure and reduce the local temperature. After optimizing, heat temperature more evenly distributed and ef?ciency improved of collector.6. When electronics come into the collector, Analog electron trajectory by CST particle studio. Use CST multi-physics co-simulation to analysis the collector thermal characters, and then analysis the transmission characteristics of depressed collector, such as S11、S12. Finally, analysis the temperature distribution and thermal stress produced by the electron bombardment.
