The diversification of radar system and the increasingly dense electromagnetism environment increase the difficulty of signal sorting. How to analyse and dispose the intercepted radar signal exactly and to estimate the modulated mode and parameter becomes more and more important in electronic reconnaissance and anti-radiation missile. The paper pays more attention on the research on signal sorting algorithm of passive radar signal, and discusses the approach of sorting passive signal by gaining the signal character under the complex electromagnetism environment.The paper firstly discusses the signal waveform of different radar systems, and studies the more reliable algorithm in the radar modulation domain based on discussing the traditional PRI algorithm. Focus on gaining the instantaneous amplitude, phase and frequency, a new method of signal sorting by the instantaneous parameter is proposed. Furthermore, the application of time-frequency analysis in disposing the non-stationary signal has been discussed, the WVD algorithm and wavelet transform have been applied in extracting the modulated information and sorting signal.The method of instantaneous parameter is better than the time-frequency technique in the speed, but is reverse in the definition. Finally, the paper discusses the approach and probability of realization in project for the traditional and modulative sorting. To get more better sorting result, the paper puts forward to the method of combining the traditional sorting method with the modulated method. Experimental result shows the feasibility of the algorithm in the thesis.In complex environments, how the signal according to its inherent characteristics for selection analysis algorithms, in order to improve the capacity of the sorting needs further research.
