The Design And Implementation Of Mental Health Evaluation And EAP Online Service System For Air Traffic Controllers

The mental health problems of controller are an important factor that influenced their life, work and traffic safety. It has been great concerned by Psychologist at home and abroad in recent years. Mental health assessment, psychological intervention and assistance for ATC had been urgent to carry out. The research purpose of this paper is to construct a mental health testing tool and EAP online service system for ATC based on internet. So far, the systematic study of mental health evaluation for the controller group had not been reported, there is great practical significance and extensive application value of this study.The controller’s mental health theory researching, controller’s mental health scale and EAP system construction, system requirements and designing, system development and testing had been completed during this dissertation works.In the aspect of theoretical research, the systematically and comprehensively literature review was conducted, the controller mental health concept and meaning, the controllers seven standards of mental health had been advanced in this dissertation.The dimensions of controller mental health scale and the scale itself, EAP system had been constructed complied with the psychological measurement methodology based on the positive psychology theory, the seven standards of health mental, the controller task and environmental characteristics.The Microsoft.net Framework, asp.net Access database, C# language, SQL and Visualstudio2005 techniques and tools were used in the systems development. The software engineering methods had been complied with in system overall design. The system development stages included the Software requirement analysis, system overall design, documentation and code compiling, test module and system realization. The functional requirements and non functional requirements analysis were included in stage of requirements analysis; the design of the system framework and detail had been experienced in this research; the soft, hardware environment design fully considered the efficiency and the reliability of system operation. Using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as the database, thirteen information tables were designed for functional requirements of the mental health evaluation and EAP services.The B/S three layer architecture had been used in this system design, unified management by Web background. The deductive prototype method combining with life cycle method were used for systems development. The used system hardware and network structure met the web running security and stable operation requirements; the black box testing, white box testing method had been used in system testing. Through continuous modification and retesting, the system achieved the expected goals, met the needs of the analysis of function requirement, and had stable performance, good compatibility, simple operation characteristics.
