Banking has some specific characteristics, which requires business continuity and a rapid and effective disaster recovery in the event of a disaster. In order to optimize the completation of data backup and recovery operation,and to achieve the backup data protection. It is necesscary to study the data backup and recovery technology, and use virtual storage encryption mechanism to encrypt data. After backup of large amount of data, there may be duplicate data, so it is need for duplicate removal of redundant data.This paper first studied the existing data backup recovery technology, so as to provide a solid theoretical foundation for the follow-up work. Next, we analyse the role, characteristics of the data backup system, and use the virtual storage technology as the support platform of data backup system. Data backup technology is an important means to ensure continuous operation of business systems; however, as to larger systems, it takes not a short time even for incremental backup of banking business. So there needs to be a system image of some special time for the banking business, which can restore the banking business system to a normal time when the business system fails. Therefore, this paper took the snapshot technology when achieving data backup system. After introduction of log backup technology and backup deduplication technology,this paper illustrates the backup strategy and technology used in the achieved Linux-based banking data backup system in this paper。In order to meet business continuity, and get a rapid and effective disaster recovery in the event of a disaster, This paper has achieved a Linux-based banking data backup system.In the stage of system analysis, this paper analyzes the demand of the whole system function, subsystem and function modules, and the system main functional requirements and non-functional requirements. The development of system designed by this paper is based on the python program language, after fully testing, we can see that the banking data backup system based on Linux of this paper can effectively realize the log backup, and duplicate removal function.
