At present, most provinces in China have begun the construction of digital city management system, in which GIS technology is a digital city is one of the most important supports.In this paper, relying on the Anhui digital city management system construction project, the status and role of GIS platform in the digital city management are explained based to digital urban management framework. And taking Huainan digital urban management system for example, the design and implementation process for the digital city management GIS platform are systematically explained. The main contents are as follows: Current situation of urban management in Anhui Province is analyzed, and the digital technology is analyzed to be an inevitable trend for city management. Combined with domestic and international development of GIS technology, it indicates that a combination of both ones is the core of digital urban management. The overall design scheme of Anhui digital city management is briefly introduced and it focuses on the provincial capitals and large urban digital urban management building programs and prefecture-level city digital city management building program. Taking Huainan City for example, the digital city management GIS platform is analyzed and designed. The system framework and interface specifications Huainan City GIS platform digital city management are studied and designed. From the perspective of the digital urban GIS platform, both geocoding subsystem and basic data resource management subsystems in the digital city management system are design and implementation of a detailed in this paper.The contents of this paper are summarized, and the future of digital city in Anhui Province is discussed.
