Analysis And Implementation Of Digital TV Framework Layer On The Android Platform

With the rapid development of intelligent, network technology, the traditional digital TV set top box based on Linux system has been unable to meet the needs of users. It is urgent that the TV with intelligent mobile phone functions, it is to say, the TV can watch videos, play games, chat, listen to music, and at the same time, it has the traditional digital television function. With the great success of Android intelligent operating system on mobile terminal market, the application of Android operating system was gradually extended to the tablet computer and digital TV field for its characteristics of open platform, free and easy to use, etc.This paper mainly studies how to expand the function of traditional business of digital TV based on Android intelligent operating system. In order to make the Android OS compatible with the traditional digital TV business needs, this paper mainly completed the following work:1, through the study of Android system framework layer, analyzed and designed digital TV’s Java interface, detailed analyzed its internal business interaction process, the basic digital of program searching, playback, EPG business TV function interface using flow are also discussed.2, through the study and analysis of the registration process for Android local service and Android service, the realization of the DVB Service daemon, the specific realization of the basic functions of the process responsible for resource management of the hardware equipment, program searching, playback, EPG service, etc..3, through the analysis of the development process of Android application program, give analysis and design of the overall UI framework, detailed description of the functional elements of the function pages needed, operation logic and data flow control.4, through the analysis and Research of the initialization process on the Android, the expansion of the Android system properties loaded, read-write mechanism, which make it possible for the Android application developers to directly call Android native interface to realize the digital television terminal equipment private property of the read and write operation, and it’s convenient for the universal design of Android application development.Through the comprehensive study and analysis of the above contents, this paper puts forward a realization method of extending the basic services of digital TV function on the Android platform. The characteristic of this method is that it is an effective extension of the Android system platform, and it did not change the original Android system architecture, which makes the set-top box’s realization based on this framework can be quickly ported to different chip platforms and different version based on Android system. In addition, in this paper, we expended the Android system properties to make it more in line with the existing production technology of digital TV set top box, which can effectively improve the production efficiency of the digital TV set top box.
