With the rapid development of electronic commerce industry, more and more enterprises engage into this area. Some traditional enterprises also step into electronic business, which has become a clear trend. Currently, some of the famous domestic electronic-business companies, such as Taobao, Jingdong mall and dangdang.com, even Su Ning, have paid attention to the domain of electronic business affairs. In the foreseeable future, the field of electronic commerce will be induce an intense competition, and how to develop and design a high-efficiency user-friendly system will be the key to business, which directly determines the user number and the transactions amount.With the development of cloud computing technology, how to develop large-scale e-commerce system based on cloud architecture becomes a focus of industry. Distributed method, flexible customization and rapid storage technology in cloud computing greatly improves the efficiency in e-commerce system’s development. In this paper, with perspective of the state-of-the-art for the development of e-commerce, we summarize common characteristics and shortcomings of current systems, and proposed a novel scheme for the common e-commerce system based on cloud architecture. This system includes a front store subsystem, a personal user information subsystem, a merchant management subsystem and a platform operation management subsystem. The system is based on a software project during my master-pursuing period. By analyzing the basic business logic in the electronic commerce, the system ensure a stable data efficient operation and inter-subsystem exchange, and provide the appropriate fault tolerance solutions. In the mall subsystem, the products-presenting and product-ordering are classified in detail, and a search function is provided. In the personal information subsystem, the system classify itself based on user interest, which includes user log records, user defined attribute, account level updates and user complaints etc.. The merchant management subsystem processes merchant information, store hosting, income statistics, order processing, delivery and transition evaluation, so as to provide efficient sales platform for business. Finally, the management subsystem in background provides a stable support for the front desk service, in which goods, orders, buyers and businesses are classified and managed uniformly.Our work is based on an actual project, which has a practical influence. This novel framework for e-business can be very useful for analyzing the optimal decisions of designing these applications from both industrial and academic perspectives.
