Terahertz is a new source of radiation, which has many unique advantages. As a very important cross frontier, terahertz technology has attractive prospects and opportunities. With the rapid development of terahertz technology, the gyrotron which can produce high power electromagnetic wave at terahertz plays an important role in the world. Now it has become a broadband high power millimeter wave and sub millimeter wave coherent radiation source witht high application value and broad development prospects. It has a very broad application prospects and very important field of material testing in the high-speed rate of space communication, ultra high resolution guided weapons, medical imaging, material terahertz spectral characteristics, safety inspection. Many countries in the world treat the Terahertz Science as a strategic direction and development of science and technology. THz technology also has the strategic significance of prospective. The gyrotron can produce high peak power pulse and continuous wave power, which is incomparable to other microwave devices in the performance of millimeter wave and sub millimeter wave. In addition, the gyrotron is the highest power source of currently found in THz range. In the international nuclear fusion reactor program(ITER) driven, many countries began to the reasearch of THz gyrotron.The main object of this thesis is the electron gun for high power gyrotron in THz,which is based on the national 973 project. On depth analysis of working principle of magnetron injection gun,I design a electron gun with good performance by using a particle simulation software called MAGIC.And my study also plays a guiding role in the future work of THz high-power gyrotron study. The main contents of this article include:1,It describes the basic theory of electron gun design and the first step of calculation.2,It analyses the basic structure and theory of magnetron injection gun.And it study the various parameters affecting the properties of electron beam through the numerical calculation.It provides the necessary theoretical basis for the design of magnetron injection gun.3, By using the particle simulation software MAGIC, it analyses the relationship between the velocity ratio or the velocity spread of electron beam and the various parameters on of the double anode magnetron injection gun.It optimizes and designs a double anode magnetron injection gun in 0.6THz with good performance.4, It analyses the relationship between the velocity ratio or the velocity spread of electron beam and the various parameters on of the single anode magnetron injection gun.It optimizes and designs a a single anode magnetron injection gun in 0.35 THz with good performance.
