With the social development and technology advancement, there is a growing demand for clean, efficient and safe sterilization technology, especially in medical, biological field, etc. It is a new generation featuring in high bactericidal efficiency, safe and residue-free for low-temperature plasma sterilization technology, which makes it more widely used in biomedical field. There is a growing demand for low temperature stable plasma jet apparatus, especially in bio-medical applications.Firstly, through the study and analysis of the form of gas from the discharge, the paper determines the use of corona discharge plasma generation technology. This paper focuses on plasma generator, gas sources and excitation power, designed for the low-temperature plasma system. The researches on low temperature plasma excitation power supply and generator design mainly focus on the excitation power supply topologies and the impact between the generator structure and the excitation power supply. We have designed a half-bridge excitation power and a handheld plasma generator applied to low-temperature plasma jet system. The circuit functional and plasma generator structure analysis, excitation power supply parameters are calculated to determine the main switching power devices and the structure of the plasma generator is designed with the separation of the work area and discharge area. Design work includes the rectifier circuit, SCR voltage regulator circuit, half-bridge inverter circuit, and driver circuit MOS transistors on the chip SG3525 PWM control of the power supply and the protection circuit is designed as well. The gas sources module is designed to control the excitation power with a pressure switch and a relay.Finally, through the low-temperature plasma system overall testing, human somatosensory testing and functional testing, we conclude that the design of 500W power switching power supply is suitable for low temperature plasma system, and the system can produce 2-3cm of air plasma jet, so it illustrates the reliability and stability of the system.
