With major global satellite navigation system networking and the gradual completion of the satellite system and satellite navigation application increasing improvement, global satellite navigation systems will be more widely applied in our daily lives. Navigation satellite signal receiver is a very important area of research in the satellite navigation system, and acquisition algorithm and implementation always is one of the key and hot contents of researchers.Number theoretic transforms is a linear orthogonal transformation defined in integer residue class ring Z with the orthogonal nature, periodicity, symmetry, displacement and cyclic convolution. In particular, Fermat number transform and Mersenne number transform have caused great concern. Compared with other fast calculation methods used to calculate the convolution and correlation, the number theoretic transform can accurately calculate the convolution and correlation results without the rounding error and the truncation error in the calculation process. These advantages make the number theoretic transform can be applied in the digital signal processing etc. The main contents of this paper include:(1)Number theoretic transforms theory. Describe the theoretical basis of fast number theoretic transform, analyze the advantages and disadvantages as well as limiting the number of questions the traditional theory transform transformation that leads to improved new Mersenne number transform(NMNT), derive calculation formula of convolution and correlation and verification.(2) The new Mersenne number transform algorithm and VLSI implementation. Extract evaluation method of the algorithm, analysis radix-2 algorithm, radix-4 algorithm and split-radix algorithm, compare their computational complexity. Introduce and implement basic units of the new Mersenne number transform. Put forward the basic structure of the new Mersenne number transform and give an example of new Mersenne number transform.(3) Acquisition algorithm using NMNT and implementation. GPS signal acquisition in the background, derive acquisition algorithm using NMNT and simulate it using MATLAB. Design and implement the sub-module units, accomplish the overall simulation.(4) The back-end layout design.Completion code and design clock gating, design the back-end layout and evaluate the result.
