With the development of computer technology, software technology and image processing technology, PC display and control terminal has been an inevitable trend as a radar scan video display terminal. Because data processing work can be completed by computer in the digital domain, it makes easier to design the radar scan video display terminal by using computer software. With the use of radar display and control terminal, the radar system has greater compatibility and expansibility, also makes the pursuit of the universality, standardization and high display resolution as a goal of radar scan video terminal development.It is a kind of software which makes background maps and radar scan video displayed on the terminal appling the thought of overlay, which designed for radar sca n video display terminal system in the thesis. The system provides a good display and operate interface, which makes better interaction between human and machine. In the synthesis system, the thesis also has implemented roaming and zooming function of background maps and radar sc an video. In the process of system operation, sometimes the synthesis system can’t operate fluently, additionally, the occupation rate of CPU improves much. In order to solve these problems, this thesis has utilized OpenCL to optimize the synthesis system. In summary, the major work has been done in this thesis described as follows:Firstly, this thesis has designed and implemented the drivers under windows operating system. Owing to the requirement of being real-time for radar scan video terminal display, this thesis has written the device drivers based on PCI-E bus to transmit radar scan video data received by device to PC by the way of DMA.Secondly, this thesis has integrated background maps with radar scan video with the thought of overlay on different layers, other than the same layer. At the same time, this thesis has processed background maps and radar scan video in layers, by doing that can we reduce the calculation of system processes. What’s more, this thesis has designed and implemented roaming and zooming function of background map and radar scan video in the system.Thirdly, because it will bring a large number of computational problems and cause high occupation rate of CPU in dealing with radar scan video so that it can affect the overall operating performance of the synthesis system. this thesis has utilized the parallel computing technique of OpenC L and GPU to accelerate the process of radar scan video, which has made the system run more fluently.Lastly, in the thesis, it has a lot of tests for the synthesis system. Like test of driver for high-speed DMA data transmitting, test of the integrating background map with radar scan video, test and comparison of synthesis system before and after the optimization of OpenCL.
