To meet the increasing complexity of material kitting requirement, optimize and improve material kitting operations in assembly factories, this research focus on the subject of material kitting configuration problem, leverage backtracking algorithm design and developed software application and hardware environment to meet assembly production needs. This research setup an example for assembly material kitting configuration problem and improves factory production efficiency.This article contains four parts.Perform detailed analysis on the assembly material kitting requirements, identified key factors and constrain like Moisture Sensitivity Level, Exposure Time, Bake Times, Standard Package Quantity, and Remnant Quantity, at same time also learned the history of these key factors including current management method. Through deep analysis of key factors, confirmed the assembly material kitting is a constaint sanctification activity.Modeling the assembly material kitting requirements and compare it with well-known constraint santisfaction problem. Confirm they all belong to same kind of optimization problem. So the algorithm for constraint santisfaction problem could be leveraged. After study resolution was designed by use of backtracking based algorithm.Leverage the latest software design and data based technology, and factory resource, designed material kitting system, including system functionality, user interface etc. Build material kitting software application with backtracking algorithm as core under the help of others. Redesign the shop floor layout to better support new assembly material kitting system.Plan and perform system test with boundary samples and random samples, analysis the test result, confirmed the assembly material kitting system was functional as expected. Now the system has released to factory production.
