China has already become a great power in the manufacturing industry in the world, and the manufacturing industry is now transforming and upgrading at an unprecedented speed. Consequently, China will certainly become a great power in manufacturing industry. During the rapid development and industrial upgrading process, since it adopts advanced numerical control technique substantially, it is still in need of a great batch of professional talents familiar with the numerical control technique and satisfying the development demand of modern manufacturing industry. Although domestic vocational colleges have already enlarged the efforts of cultivating professional talents in numerical control technique, it cannot satisfy the demand of the manufacturing industry from quality and quantity. Consequently, the development of numerical control simulation training system and exploration into brand new numerical control teaching mode based on the enterprise process, practical working environment and virtual simulation training, as well as the cultivation of required talents, has already become the top responsibility of China’s vocational education.In this thesis, the research background and significance is introduced, and related domestic and foreign studies are compared. Later, the main development technologies, system demand analysis, system detailed design, and system functions realization and test of the numerical control major are illustrated step by step. Eventually, the follow-up development of the system is conduced. With target-oriented method, the modeling language is unified with UML, the database construction is conducted with SQL Server database software, and dynamic web development is conducted with C# and ASP.NET technology. During the development process, sufficient feasibility, system function and non-functionality analysis is conducted for the system, and the logic frame, functional structure and database design is carried out for the system. The numerical control simulation training system is realized with B/S(Browser/Server) three-tier architecture, and it is divided to the system setting, task management, production activities and simulation interface. The main users are students, teachers and system managers. The system realization can reach the purpose of talent cultivation, with little teaching input, quick effect, strong adaptability and technical ability. The establishment of the numerical control training simulation software platform can alleviate the pressure on the vocational colleges of adding the numerical control equipment substantially. It can drive the teaching reform with the construction of the numerical control, as well as the curriculum system and resource construction. The training based on the work process shall go through the teaching simulation training system, so as to truly uniform the teaching, learning and behaving.All functional modules of the system are developed with the target-oriented design thought, and the overall design follows the principle of simplicity, convenience and easy to apply, which can satisfy the demand of numerical control students, teachers and managers. The system test and operation are good in status.
