With the development of network technology and instrumentation bus technology, the distributed test system is more widely used in various fields. Since the positions of all nodes are in a dispersed status, and the distance among nodes is far, the precise synchronization and trigger is a key to determine the accuracy of the test.LXI makes both the distance between instruments and the number of device nodes not limited in the test system. So with stamped data, it can achieve synchronous distributed measurement, to meet the demand of distributed and remote control well, and provide better choice for the formation of the test system.The trigger box is LXI class-A instrument and has a variety of trigger modes. And it enables non-LXI instrument to have unique trigger modes only for LXI instruments. So the LXI class-B and class-C can have more trigger modes by the box, which avoids the secondary development of the instrument and reduces the cost.LXI specification shows that web interface and programming control should be provided, and the B/S mode is a must. The current major equipment manufacturers all provide LXI instrument B/S mode access software. The development and maintenance of B/S mode software are simple. Besides, the unified style improves the ease of software.The current development of synchronous trigger device is analyzed at home and abroad, and the trigger box’s performance index is listed. Based on the trigger modes and working principle, it focuses on the B/S mode software overall program, as well as the web interface, instrument control software and instrument driver design.The details are as follows:1. It finishes the design of the web interface. With the HTML, Java Script and Silverlight technology, it designs the instrument access pages which LXI specification defines, such as the welcome page, network configuration page, network security page, synchronization configuration page and event log page. Besides, based on the input and output modes, it provides the instrument control page that is used for configuring trigger modes.2. It designs the instrument control software. Combined with multithreading synchronous design and Socket communications technology, it communicates with the interface, then analyzes the receiving LAN message and control command and sends LAN packets. At the same time, it stamps all of the output and provides event log query function.3. It provides instrument driver. Referring to the LXI instrument driver design of the instrument manufacturer and combined with the trigger box function, the topic provides for users with driver functions and SCPI commands.The B/S mode software design of the trigger box is completed in the subject, and software functionality test is performed. All of the test results show that the design targets are fulfilled well.
