With the development of the space industry, operators need to control the space robot to carry out delicate operations. So the way of the human-computer interaction of the space robot is very important, it has a direct impact on the availability and efficiency of the space robot. In the future, under the complex space mission requirements and the support of advanced electronic information technology, the research on the human-computer interaction of the space robot system and development will be more in-depth, it has the very good application prospect. The study of the human-computer interaction of the space remote robot is verified based on virtual robot arm in the laboratory.The design and application of the wireless body gesture recognition system based on MEMS sensor is present in this paper. The design of the wireless body gesture recognition system is introduced, and the system is mainly based on sensor and wireless communication technology. The recognition system has the advantages of low cost, easy operation, high accuracy. Besides, the way to design and implement the virtual robot arm is introduced; the virtual robot arm provides a friendly, open and visual platform for the project study. On this basis, the control method of the virtual robot arm is designed and implemented.The main work is completed as follows:1. The design of the wireless body gesture recognition system is introduced, including software and hardware structure of the main controller, the human body posture acquisition module and wireless transmission module.2. Signal processing method of gyroscope sensor signals and acceleration sensor signals adopted by the MPU6050 module is elaborated in detail. It mainly includes kalman filtering, attitude algorithm, definition of attitude angles, solving attitude angles, and updating attitude angles.3. We define six actions of the people’s right arm. According to the change of attitude angles features during the process of doing the six actions, the way of human-computer interaction with virtual robot arm is defined. We achieve to control the virtual robot arm through the body posture.4. The way to design and implement the virtual robot arm is introduced, and the verified experiment is present.The main contributions of the wireless body gesture recognition system based on MEMS sensor are as follows. First, it makes full use of the human body posture information as an input of control, which makes the human-computer interaction more naturally and efficient. Secondly, the content of study has been proved in the virtual environment so it guarantees the safety and reliability of human-computer interaction, which laid a solid foundation for the further research of human-computer interaction with the real space remote robot.
