Angle is one of the most important geometrical parameters in machinery. As the accuracy of angles will directly influence the quality and serving life of products.There are many different types of angle displacement measurement sensors, most of them can support only single angle displacement measurement.Angle displacement always has to be transmitted into the sensor, for they are unable to support automatic perception without external force.In this paper, a two-dimensional sensor, which can automatically sense two-dimensional angular displacement, has been designed to provide effective angular displacement metrical information for the obtaining of spatial pose information measured on a large scale and assist in meeting with the requirements of angular displacement measurement. This system is characterized by low costs, and automatic sensing of two-dimensional angular displacement deviating from the horizontal plane, and relatively high measurement accuracy.The main research of this thesis includes:(1) Adopting proportional capacitive angular displacement measuring principle to design the overall plan of sensor, analyzing and calculating the influence of floating and grounding rotor plates on capacitance measurement, implementing the scheme of eight-petal emitter plates and grounding rotor plates, achieving 180°measurement of angles.(2) Designing and completing two kinds of capacitive sensitive mechanical structures, namely fixing rotor plates by way of interference and fixing movable and static plate electrodes by way of restrained positioning.(3) Designing and completing capacitive angular displacement sensing hardware circuit, includes sensing stimulating module, signal processing module, signal acquisition module, liquid crystal display module and communication module; completing software programming.(4) Setting up experimental platform, conducting calibration experiments on the circuit’s operation characteristics, and conducting an angle comparison experiment on the angular displacement sensor designed by capacitance.
