With the development of wide area measurement system, a large amount of PMU measured data generated, in order to the efficient transmission, storage and applications of the data. This paper put forward the waveform difference method, remove the duplicate information, simplify the data, to achieve high compression ratio effect, through studying on the characteristics of PMU data, combining with the obvious periodicity of the voltage, current signal of power data. Proposed improved recursive Huffman tree algorithm, shorten the decompression time, improve the efficiency of compression. The main content induce the following aspects:First of all, analysis PMU phasor measurement unit data. It take the standard time signal as the sampling process of the benchmark, the data cycle regularity of strong, so the waveform difference method is proposed for data processing. The algorithm simulate the delta modulation technology ideas, use difference method to deal with the data; according to the characteristics of PMU data storage to sixteen based on the above two kinds of treatment methods, put forward the separate compression method, reduce the data redundancy, improve the efficiency of compression.Secondly, study the compression algorithm in power system. Analysis the compression of loss lossless and a combination of bot, combined with the characteristics of PMU data, focuses on the analysis of the Huffman algorithm in lossless compression algorithm, make comparison with efficiency of single Huffman decoding, proposed recursive Huffman tree decoding algorithm which can decode multiple characters in an accessing of a storage space, improve decoding efficiency, reduce decoding time.Then, through the application and the results of the example, have a further understanding and researching of the proposed data preprocessing and recursive Huffman tree decoding algorithm.Finally, writing utility program. Describe the programming ideas and process in detail, and write specific application interface.
