Today with the rapid development of China’s economy and the advancement of maiketization of electric power system reform, the modern power system is faced with many challenges. Such as establishing electric power company and the interaction between each terminal platform, improve the reliability and security of power distribution network, improve the distributed power grid compatibility, etc. The industry is generally believed that the smart grid development is the only way to solve these problems. Smart grid, demand side energy consumption monitoring and real-time analysis is to optimize the energy allocation, implementation of new energy power system is one of the most important aspects of the supply and demand balance. As a result, the demand side of the smart meter monitoring data analysis of the research has important theoretical and practical significance.Ontology is a kind of advanced knowledge representation method, which based on concept hierarchy, the relationship between concepts and properties of the concept of clear, such as the formal specification to describe people, computer and software system of knowledge in the field of consistent understanding and interoperability. This article is mainly to the smart grid, smart meters for modeling of the demand side, based on the seven steps of Stanford university puts forward intelligent electric meter ontology knowledge base, the establishment of ontology knowledge base to add the concept of time and space, using the Jena provides corresponding parsing API to establish ontology knowledge base, query and reasoning.Based on the established ontology knowledge of smart meters, proposed the query scheme of ontology based on history and real-time data streams, given the historical and real-time data stream query body processes, and processed simulation the experiments to test the feasibility of this scheme.
