Real-time historical database is a key technology in the industrial enterprise automation system, the research and development of Real-time historical database which owns Intellectual Property is important to further theory research and implement of project.In electric enterprises, real-time data is vital data resource of them. Effectively utilizing real-time data can support enterprises'plans, and improve managers'ablity and workers'productive efficiency, and enhance enterprises'competitive ablilty, and increase the synthetical benefit of enterprises.This thesis is completed based on GDReal which is in cooperation with the China Electric Power ScienceResearch Institute with theory and practice's innovation. GDReal is developed on the current situation of electric power enterprises and is adequately concerned of the actual needs of electric power enterprises and is refered to theoretical study and actual products in domestic and overseas related fields. GDReal is a large real-time historical database system. In this thesis, the design of the database and the various components and functional modules are introduced in details.This thesis displays the background and significance of Real-time historical database. Based on them,analyse the current domestic and foreign mainstream real-time database.Consulting the current mainstream real-time database system,this thesis puts forward the solution of GDReal, and the demand analysis and overall design for GDReal Real-time historical database. And particularly set forth the architecture and basic functions and technical standard of GDReal Real-time historical database. And emphasize on the design of framework.This thesis displays the framework and the implementation of the server of GDRTDB Real-time historical database. And introduce all the function modules, especially the design and implementation of the net module, and authority module, and label points'and station points'config module, and log module.Data compression technology are introduced, then the principle of common data compression algorithm are explained, at last the design scheme of data compression algorithm is introduced, which is generated based on analyzing the characteristic of historical data and many kinds of data compression algorithms. Historical data in real-time database consists of three portions: data value, time stamp and quality code, which all have different characteristics.This thesis displays management program of GDReal, Client DLL and Directory Server simply.
