With the rapid development of wireless communication and the rise of LTE standard, mobile communication system has entered the age of 4G, which requires the mobile terminal antenna meet the requirements of broadband, multiband and high efficiency. A variety of small LTE mobile phone antennas have been a hot topic nowadays in communication industry research. 4G communication system is based on LTE-TDD and LTE-FDD standard. Different countries use different band for 4G system. Among them, as one of the most potential global TDD spectrum band uniform, the LTE-Hi standard of 3.5GHz band has important significance for study. Hover, mobile terminal antennas nowadays most work on GSM850/900/DCS1800/PCS1900/UMTS2100, which can’t cover the main band of 4G. To slove the problem, this paper introduce some kinds of mobile terminal antennas for 4G wireless application, which meet LTE-Hi standard.First, this paper introduce two kinds of mobile phone antennas for 4G wireless application. ?Inverted-L-shaped connect with S-shaped strip mobile phone antenna.The simulated resonant frequency of low band is 750 MHz, with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of 660MHz~810MHz. The simulated resonant frequency of intermediate band is 2600 MHz, with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of 2250MHz~2850MHz. The simulated resonant frequency of up band is 3500 MHz, with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of 3280MHz~3970MHz. The measured results show good agreement with the simulated results. ? Open loop structure mobile phone antenna. The simulated resonant frequency of low band is 920 MHz, with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of665MHz~1070MHz. The simulated resonant frequency of intermediate band is2610 MHz, with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of 2240MHz~3010MHz. The simulated resonant frequency of up band is 3530 MHz, with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of 3335MHz~3665MHz. The measured results show good agreement with the simulated results.Then this paper introduce a kind of winding strip planar antenna for tablet computer. The simulated resonant frequency of low band is 740 MHz, with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of 685MHz~815MHz. The simulated resonant frequency of intermediate band is 2375 MHz, with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of2165MHz~2740MHz. The simulated resonant frequency of up band is 3530 MHz,with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of 3295MHz~3630MHz. The measured results show good agreement with the simulated results.Last this paper introduce two kinds of mobile terminal for both mobile phone and tablet computer. ?T-shaped coplanar multipurpose mobile terminal antenna. The simulated resonant frequency of low band is 740 MHz, with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of 590MHz~1270MHz. The simulated resonant frequency of intermediate band is 2500 MHz, and of up band is 3500 MHz, with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of 2285MHz~3835MHz. The measured results show good agreement with the simulated results. ? Bow-shaped multipurpose mobile terminal antenna. The simulated resonant frequency of low band is 740 MHz, with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of 590MHz~820MHz. The simulated resonant frequency of intermediate band are 2320 MHz å'Œ 2595 MHz, with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of2150MHz~2700MHz. The simulated resonant frequency of up band is 3530 MHz,with the-6d B impedance bandwidth of 3390MHz~3635MHz. The measured results show good agreement with the simulated results.All of the five antennas introduced in this paper can cover the main band of 4G system: LTE700(698-787MHz)/LTE2300(2305-2400MHz)/LTE2500(2500-2690MHz)/LTE3500(3410-3590MHz). The antennas are fabricated and experimented. The measured results show that the antennas have almost omnidirectional radiation characteristics in the operating frequency band and high radiation efficiency. The research results indicate the proposed antennas show good performance for 4G application.
