Cyber-physical systems has broken the boundaries between the information world and the physical world in the traditional concept, which contains a huge number of resources to deal with different tasks with differentiated communication ability, computation ability, perception and execution ability. These abilities of resources also changes along with the changing of task and other constraints in real time. It is a crucial job to find out how to manage these resources, make assessment for them according to the specific needs from practical application so as to choose out the appropriate resources to complete the task. Based on capacity requirement, the definition of resource capacity, capacity assessment, management framework, ability model construction, system design and implementation are studied in this paper. The main contents are listed as follows:The first item is the study of the concepts and resource management model for Cyber-physical systems. Based on the study of the Military Cyber-physical systems, definition and assessment of a battlefield resource capacity are studied. A definition of resource capability and a resource capability model of Cyber-physical systems are presented for forecasting the possibility of mission accomplished. Meanwhile, a management framework of resources based on capacity requirement is also presented with the analysis for composition and function.The second item is the study of some important technologies for the resource management method based on capacity requirement. In the guidance of above research on concepts and resource management model, with the data in related rea, the resource capability model it constructed based on Multivariate Linear Regression. And the accuracy of model also detected through experimental analysis. Modules of resource management are also constructed for building and using this model.The third item is the design and implementation of the prototype system. A software system is developed with high reusability and extensibility using Java EE framework. In the guidance of above described concept and method of Cyber-physical system resource management, the resource capability model is constructed and resource discovery based on capacity requirement is executed, so as to verify the effectiveness of the method.
