In the field of intelligent detection and control, CAN bus due to its high transmission speed, long transmission distance, strong anti-interference ability and so on is widely used in intelligent detection equipment, communication networks. PC software and lower computer software, as the important parts of intelligent detection equipment, take CAN bus as the medium to transmit detection data collected by lower computer. In practical industrial applications, because of the unreasonable designed protocol, inappropriate CAN bus data processing in PC software and lower computer software, the important data lost in CAN communication cannot be recovered, CAN communication network interrupts case does not automatically return to normal situation. This article focuses on proposing some effective fault tolerance measures verified by fault injection method to improves the reliability of the CAN bus communication.This article researches on the reliability of CAN bus communication in intelligent detection equipment, analyses the current research situation in related fields, summarizes the characteristics of intelligent detection equipment, CAN bus and fault tolerant technology. Combined with high pressure washer intelligent detection equipment and the CAN bus communication system requirements analysis, we draft CDE (CAN bus applied in Detection Equipment) protocol to establish efficient and reliable CAN bus communication system. It elaborates the poor working conditions and reasons for the failure phenomenon of the CAN bus communication, respectively proposes sum-check fault tolerant technology solutions to protocol framing based on information redundancy technology and some effective solutions to PC software and lower computer software according to time redundancy, active fault tolerance and software trap technology.Combined with fault injection technology, we design an intelligent detection equipment CAN bus communication testing software to test CDE protocol, PC software and lower computer software fault tolerant solutions, the experimental results were analysed. As can be seen from the experimental results, the fault tolerance solutions of CDE protocol, PC software and lower computer software are reasonable and effective.
