The theory of adaptive optics caused people’s great attention since itsemergence, because of its unique automatically adaption to changes in theexternal environment which makes the function of optical system alwaysmaintains the best working state. Originally, this theory application inastronomical imaging observation system and military, is now extended to fieldof optical communication, remote sensing detection and eye health and otherfields of civil,In general, adaptive optics system must meet the needs of practicalapplication and needs to be test in the laboratory and field in performance. Fieldtests are usually carried on before the laboratory simulation test. During thelaboratory evaluation and test in the performance of the adaptive optics system,the first problem is to implement the dynamic simulation of atmosphericturbulence. So accurate simulation for atmospheric turbulence becomes animportant research subject. This paper combines Zernike modal and frequencydomain method and realizes the algorithm of dynamic simulation of atmosphericturbulence using the pure phase liquid crystal spatial light modulator (LC-SLM) as a turbulent flow simulator, building the atmospheric turbulence dynamicsimulation control platform, make the phase screen information as a controlsignal to load into the LC-SLM, realizing the dynamic simulation ofatmospheric turbulence. The simulation results meet the statistical feature oftime and space of the atmospheric turbulence.In this paper, design of the control platform that about atmosphericturbulence dynamic simulation mainly has two characteristics: simulation ofdynamic turbulence phase screen is closer to real atmospheric turbulencecharacteristics and control platform of the loading rate can reach the fastest1000frames per second when hardware configuration is suitable.
