Modern greenhouse is a typical example of agricultural facilities, which has huge advantages in planting anti-season vegetables and flowers of high economic value. The environment monitoring technique of greenhouse can adjust the environmental factors in the greenhouse automatically, such as the indoor temperature, light, water, fertilize and so on, which plays a key role in increasing crop yield, reducing energy consumption and human labor. It’s necessary to research high intelligent, easy to use and strong commonality remote monitoring system of greenhouse environment, combining with multi-subjects, such as computer science, control engineering, Internet of things, mobile Internet and so on.Based on the environment measurement and control hardware system of greenhouse, this dissertation designed a remote monitoring system for greenhouse environment, with the emphasis on data acquisition and storage, environment intelligent controlling and remote monitoring.The local monitoring software was developed, with the functions of data acquisition, equipment control, parameters setting and data management. Based on the classification of equipment types and status, the equipment control codes and control logic were designed, which enhanced the safety of equipment control. Based on hybrid automata of greenhouse temperature system, the automata states switching laws were designed. And the crop temperature integration theory was applied to adjust the set values dynamically.Database server, application server and stream transmission server were developed. The database table structure was designed and MySQL database was applied to realize data storage. The function and structure of the application server were designed, using PHP to develop business processing logic of the server. Based on VLC open source project, the stream transmission server was developed with C++.Web client and Android client were developed with MVC design pattern. Using Ajax, JSON, XML and multithreaded programming, combining with Highcharts, aChartEngine and VLC open source projects, the clients realized functions of environmental data monitoring, remote equipment control, video monitoring, parameters setting, data query and user management. The system was deployed and tested in a small experimental greenhouse of University of Science and Technology of China. The results show the system can provide accurate data acquisition and reliable equipment control, satisfying the demands of modern greenhouse environment monitoring.
