With the development of wireless technology and networking technology, wireless applications increasingly widespread, mobile Internet has become increasingly clear that people made real-time bandwidth and high demands. Current cellular mobile communication system based on ground station can not meet these requirements. The stratospheric communications as a new communication system, more and more people’s attention.Stratospheric Communications is placing high altitude platform (HAPS, High Altitude Platform Stations) in the stratosphere to communicate with the ground. Stratospheric Communications has a wide coverage, free space loss, low construction cost, the advantages of small multipath fading effects caused by is a potential means of communication.HAPS system for the current study is still in the design principles of communication, technology to track the pre-feasibility study stage. Immature and other issues in the stratosphere platform support manufacturing technology, the use of simulation platform HAPS communication system simulation early in the development of system design and system performance have significant pre-assessment.In this paper, based on the basic principles of OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing), using Simulink simulation tool to create HAPS OFDM simulation model. Combined with practical application, to determine the main parameters of the simulation system, set up and configure the modules and subsystems, completion of the HAPS system is based on OFDM technology in the simulation. In the urban environment of high-speed mobile terminal will have a significant Doppler shift, multipath fading environment is complex and because of the serious ground, we propose a model based on HAPS communication systems OFDM technology, research-based communication system HAPS channel model and link level simulation models, through the system of link-level simulation, theoretically proved the feasibility of the system. The simulation results show that, compared with the ground station model, HAPS communication systems multipath fading and Doppler shift reduced performance impact on OFDM has a great advantage in the antibody.
