The Design And Implementation Of An Ocular Muscle Medical Expert System

In recent times, improving rural medical condition is getting more and more attention as the domestic medical treatment demand has a sustained growth. In the field of ophthalmologyo department, remote areas and city’s fringe areas are always poor in medical conditions, more shortage of professional ophthalmology department medical team and comprehensive aided diagnosis platform. Furthermore, problems as low accuracy, poor flexibility and low integration are existed in the clinical aided decision support system in use. This led directly to cases such as a high level of misdiagnosis rate and referral rate, patient miss the best treatment opportunity, or even run around seeking for cure at authoritative hospitals in remote areas.To solve above problems, thesis introduces the design of a OMMES(Ocular Muscle Medical Expert System). In this system, medical staff act as user group, auxiliary diagnosis and treatment decisions act as theme, user develop and maintain medical record template, diagnosis decision tree and treatment scheme independendly so that inference rules library and expert knowledge library could be modified at any time to deal with various disease symptoms. The author designed and implemented this system based on Qt framework independently, including four function modules as medical record management, template management, diagnosis and treatment management and security management:Medical Record Management Module:collecting and maintaining medical records from patient operated by medical staff. Template Management Module:As core module of system, used for adding and maintaining medical record template, diagnosis and treatment template, GUI is supported.Diagnosis and Treatment Management Module:System would return diagnosis result and treatment scheme from current medical record case according to default template set in system.Security Management Module:Grand or revoke permissions by user. View user operating log record.Systems business function verification results shows:this ocular muscle medical expert system improved problems as low accuracy, poor flexibility and low integration existed in clinical aided decision support system in use, and have a great potential in providing efficient aided platform for medical department lack of resources. As the first phase in project, this system adopts single client module, has been deployed on diagnosed PC in hospital to test run and accept market research. This project would supply more functions in aiding clinic diagnosis for medical staff and improving medical environment by being promoted to general department with B/S(Browser/Server) module and cross-platform version.
