With the development of computer technology,computer vision is widely used in the dailyproduce and life. In recent years, three-dimensional reconstruction and3D printing have become ahot topic in the computer vision. Three-dimensional reconstruction has been widely used in medical,protection of cultural relics, measurement of size and so on. Structured light scanning is animportant technique in three-dimensional reconstruction.Structured light scanning is a non-contactmeasurement, it has advantages of low cost, high accuracy and real-time.In the structured light scanning, the value of camera’gain and the brightness of projector willdirectly affect the quality of reconstruction, in the same time, there are many combinations of thesetwo parameters, it is difficult to get a best combination by artificial selection. To solve this problem,this paper designs a structured light scanning system based on dynamic parameter controlling. Thissystem uses the degree of reproducibility of the edge contour reconstruction model for qualityassessment, adaptive the camera gain and projector brightness to get the best three-dimensionalreconstruction of the object mode.Considering the cost of hardware, the efficiency of scanning andthe accuracy of reconstruction, this system choose a CCD camera, a high resolution lens and a DLPprojector as the main devices. This system is in the development environment of Visual Studio2010,using C program language combining with OpenCV. The main work and research as follows:1.Analyze and compare the advantages and disadvantage of various structured light, becausegray code has advantage of easy coding, high robustness and broad application scenes, this paperchooses gray code structured light as system’s coding pattern. And research the principle of graycode encoding and decoding.2. Research the camera and projector calibration on structured light scanning technology,establish the mathematical model about structured light scanning.3. Study the reconstruction algorithm of three-dimensional reconstruction, calculate theobject’s depth information and reconstruct the three-dimensional model based on triangulationmethod and the results of gray code decoding and calibration parameters.4. Propose and design a structured light scanning system based on dynamic parameterscontrolling, adjust the camera gain and projector light intensity, ensure the picture with normalexposure and good quality. Through this method, get good quality of three-dimensional point cloudmodel.5. According to the camera and projector’s parameter have various combinations, it is difficultto choose the best combination. So this paper put forward a algorithm of automatic evaluation of three-dimensional reconstruction quality.By using edge detection of three-dimensional point cloudmodel, calculate the number of pixel, and evaluate the result of3D model, then get the bestcombination of dynamic parameters.The experimental results show that this system has advantages of low cost, high efficiency andgood quality of reconstruction. The system can meet the need of practical application.
