ABSTRACT:With the rapid development of mobile multimedia communication technology, the requirement of users’data rate is increasing. To meet the requirement, frequency band can be extended and more eNodeBs can be installed, which will help to increase the capacity of the whole cellular network. However, frequency resources that can be used by cellular network are very limited and the expense of installing eNodeBs is very high. It is necessary to find a way to increase the capacity of the whole cellular network while maintaining the existing system network. Device-to-Device (D2D) communication is one of the promising technologies to solve this problem, which allows the direct communication between devices without the relay of eNodeB and with the reuse of cellular frequency resources. Compared with the traditional cellular communication, D2D communication can save half of the frequency resource and it has features of low power consumption, low delay and high date rate. Therefore, the study of D2D communication is very important. This thesis is organized as follows. Firstly, the development of wireless mobile communication and LTE system are introduced. LTE system is composed of Evolved Packet Core network, Radio Access Network and interface protocol. Frame structure and physical resource element are described as well.Secondly, D2D communication underlaying LTE network is briefly introduced, including the structure and the feature of D2D communication. Next, a variety of key technologies in D2D communication are analyzed in detail, including the process of D2D pair session establishment, the process of D2D users search, the estimation of D2D channel quality, user synchronization and so on. In addition, some main radio resource management technologies are summarized, including interference features, resource allocation, power control and mode selection. Finally, a resource allocation scheme of Device-to-Device communication based on interference limited is proposed. Specifically speaking, a system model reusing the uplink resources of cellular network is put forward first and then, a resource allocation scheme based on interference limited is proposed. In this scheme, the coverage of interference limited area is deduced, and the resource allocation scheme is presented. The correctness and effectiveness of the scheme are tested by simulation. And at the same time, the simulation indicates that the proposed scheme can control the interference between cellular communication and D2D communication effectively, which achieves the purpose of increasing the total throughput of whole communication network.
