A Study Of Philology On Wang Zhong’s Shuxue

Shuxue was complied by Wang Zhong, who was born in Yangzhou County, Jiangsu Province. Wang Zhong was a famous scholar in Qing Dynasty and Shuxue was the most important works of Wang Zhong, which has a great value of study. However, this book and Wang Zhong were seldom fully appreciated by scholars.This thesis expounds the life and thought of Wang Zhong, and introduces the historical background of Shuxue, sums up its style, and analyses its annotation in detail. Meanwhile, the influence of this book is reviewed.I plan to research Shuxue in five chapters of this article.The first chapter gives a brief accont of the life, personality characteristics and academic of Wang Zhong.The second chapter mainly combs the writing process and the edition of source of Shuxue.The third chapter analysis the contont of Shuxue.The fourth chapter discusses Wang Zhong adopted strict logic thinking manner and scientific textual research way for his scholarship.The last chapter summarizes the achievements and shortcomings of Shuxue.
