With the popularity of cloud computing, more and more users will be working in the cloud. Cloud storage is an extension and development of cloud computing, and also is a very important part of cloud computing. Users store their data in the cloud, and wish the cloud storage service providers to provide cloud storage services which has high availability and disaster recovery capabilities. Under normal circumstances, a cloud storage service provider saves the date which user upload multiple backup, so that it can provide users with data services even when one data backup is damaged or inaccessible. However, in some cases, it’s not enough to save user’s data just more data backup. If cloud storage service provider save user’s data in only one data center, user’s data will cannot be obtained even impossible to recover when large-scale power outage or earthquakes, tsunamis and other natural disaster occurs. Thus, the users will usually require a cloud storage service provider stores their data in different locations, in order to achieve the ability to off-site disaster recovery. In this way, even if a large-scale power outage or natural disaster occurs, it can still ensure that user’s data can be obtained and avoid to be damaged.Currently disaster recovery guarantees for multi-cloud-based storage service provider agreement that the user can only passively believe cloud storage service provider, but cannot actively check the disaster recovery capability of the data.To solve these problems, we propose a remote disaster recovery capability for cloud data to validate the program, to make the user be able to actively check the disaster recovery capability of the data, so that the user can ensure that their data is stored in the cloud security with disaster recovery capabilities. Firstly, we research the existing methods on cloud data integrity verification, and the existing methods for verifying the cloud server location information, and analyze these methods’ relevance to verify the disaster recovery; Secondly, we give the definition a data disaster recovery for cloud system model validation and storage assumptions, and problems to be solved in this article have made assumptions; Thirdly, we described in detail herein location-based method for distinguishing between delay and cloud data off-site disaster recovery capabilities authentication methods; Finally, we give the cloud data offsite disaster recovery capability to verify the theoretical analysis method and the actual test performance, and to test the use of this method to verify the effect of the choice of parameters and efficiency, it can clearly be seen from the test results that, the use of the proposed scheme can be a good distinction between off-site storage of data, and the capability to accurately determine the cloud data off-site disaster recovery capabilities.
