Recently, with the development of satellite navigation technology, all kinds of tools in spatial distribution of navigation system is limited, the accuracy of the satellite positioning service, security, reliability, and availability can not be guaranteed. The broadband circularly polarize microstrip antenna working for the multi-mode satellite navigation system and its miniaturization was analyzed and designed in this paper. The main contributions of the dissertation are listed as follows:1. A novel broadband feed network on basis of the 3d B Wilkinson power divider and phase shifter has been analyzed and designed. Moreover, on this basis, by investigating the current distributions on the circular patch antenna, a slot was added to guide the current distribution, the incentive purity was purificated. Thus, the circular polarization bandwidth of the antenna was improved. Finally, in view of the narrow bandwidth of microstrip antenna, a wideband circularly polarized patch antenna fed by four L metal bars is proposed. They are orientated to have phase of 00, 900, 1800 and 2700, and excites the radiating patch by proximity coupling. The tested results are in agreement with that of simulations.2. The miniaturization of the antenna was studied without changing the bandwidth obviously. Two miniaturized antennas were designed using the high dielectric constant substrate. By using the software HFSS, the VSWR, radiation pattern, axial ratio, and non-ideal at the 400 of antenna were simulated and compared.
